Here is an updated picture of my work for Midterm 7, I added the black box at the bottom with the text all in allignment.  It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. This is a photo of Beyonce, that I edited in GIMP. I first took a square logo and cropped it into a circle. I then resized my image then resized the logo to fit well over the eyes in the picture. Then I added a black banner at the bottom by choosing the rectangular tool then fill with FG color, and added three different captions of different text font, size, and color. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College.
